Join one of Australia’s most active gold resource development programmes, operating a multi-rig drilling campaign with long-term continuity. We’re seeking an experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to take the reins on a high-paced resource development project that demands both technical rigour and strong leadership.
About the Role
This is not your typical grassroots exploration role. With up to 10 rigs currently operating, the successful candidate will play a key part in driving large-scale drilling and resource development activities. You’ll be responsible for managing operational teams, ensuring geological and sampling accuracy, and contributing to the broader resource modelling objectives of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multi-rig drilling campaigns (RC and diamond)
Oversee geological logging, QA/QC procedures, and data integrity
Work closely with project and technical teams to support resource estimation and development planning
Mentor junior geologists and supervise field teams
Implement and maintain HSE and operational standards onsite
Contribute to strategic exploration planning and execution
Requirements
Minimum 15 years of experience in geology, with at least 10 years in gold exploration and/or resource development
Proven ability to manage high-volume drilling programmes
Experience with geological modelling software (Leapfrog preferred, Micromine advantageous)
Strong field leadership and operational coordination capabilities
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume project environments
Permanent resident or Australian citizen required for conside
Roster and Site
FIFO ex-Perth (8 days on, 6 days off)
Established camp with private accommodation and meals provided
